UDRC Summer School 2017

Fifth Joint Workshop on Hands-free Speech Communication and Microphone Arrays (HSCMA 2017)

Event Description:

The Fifth Joint Workshop on Hands-free Speech Communication and Microphone Arrays will be held on March 1-3, 2017 at the Google Offices in downtown San Francisco, California. The workshop is devoted to presenting recent advances in distant-talking speech communication and human/machine interaction with an emphasis on multi-microphone systems. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from universities and industry working in distant speech and speaker recognition, speech enhancement, high-quality sound capture, and multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) acoustic signal processing. Demonstrations of experimental systems, applications, and prototypes are especially welcome.

Defence Academic Pathways: Complex Systems

Event Description:

PraxisUnico is working with the Defence Academic Pathways (DAP) group on this free event for the research community. The event aims to explore research needs for the successful design and deployment of Complex Systems. DAP is a grouping of organisations with an interest on Defence who actively work with the United Kingdom academic base to provide a consolidated Defence wide requirements set. These interactions are currently facilitated by Dstl.

The 16th International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN'17) is a leading, single-track, annual forum on research in networked sensing and control, broadly defined. IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf17)

Event Description:

For 2017, the IEEE Radar Conference returns west after eight years and arrives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for the first time. The conference timing coincides with the centennial anniversary of incorporation of Boeing; our theme, “Building on a Century of Innovation,” unites the past and future. Looking back, we highlight seminal radar developments including the co-invention of Pulse Doppler Radar, advances in civil aviation, and the world’s first digitally-processed Synthetic Aperture Radar image from space.
