Alessandro Borgia

PhD Student - Work Package 4 (E_WP4)

Alessandro Borgia received both his BSc and MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

Since then he has worked mainly in the field of mobile networks, for H3G, as an adviser for technological Inter-Operability Testing solutions on 3G/LTE mobile devices. Later on, he moved to the software industry as a Java web applications analyst and developer, before getting the role (2014) of Security analist of QRADAR/AKAB SIEM+ systems (Security Information & Event Management) in the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) of Comando C4, Rome, for the Italian Ministry of Defence.

Currently, he is studying a PhD in computer vision (“Tracking in non-overlapping cameras”) under the supervision of Dr. Neil M. Robertson and Dr. Rolf H. Baxter. His main research interests cover the area of machine learning, Bayesian reasoning, data mining, digital image processing and cognitive radios.
