Professor Andrew Wallace

Work Package 3 and 6 (E_WP3 & E_WP6)

Prof. Andrew Wallace is a Professor of Signal and Image Processing at Heriot-Watt University, and the Director of the Research Institute in Signals, Sensors and Systems. He is an expert in 3D image analysis and is currently the Principal Investigator in EPSRC and CEOI funded programmes examining data retrieval and parameter inversion from 3D Lidar images of forest canopies. He has further expertise in vehicle situational awareness, visual tracking and behavioural monitoring. He has significant experience in managing defence-related projects, including EMRS and SEAS DTC programmes on 3D imaging, “Covert scanning of low signature targets using high-speed photon counting,” and hardware accelerated algorithms for visual tracking, “Embedded Software for autonomous vehicles.”
