Professor Bernard Mulgrew

Work Package 2 (E_WP2) Leader

Professor Bernard Mulgrew has held the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Signal Processing at UoE for the last 8 years, funded initially by BAE SYSTEMS, then SELEX Galileo. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and the Royal Academy of Engineering. He has made major contributions in the development of algorithms for radar and RF signal processing applications, with invited papers in the Defence Applications of Signal Processing Workshop 2011, the International Conference on Synthetic Aperture Sonar and Synthetic Aperture Radar 2010 and at invite-only NATO workshops.

Defence-related EPSRC projects include "MIMO Sonar and Radar" and a UDRC project on "Distributed Sensor Signal Processing", as well as British Council funded project on "Biologically Inspired Distributed Sensor Signal Processing". He has had projects funded by the EMRS DTC in "Bistatic Target Classification" and "STAP Processing". His current projects with SELEX include, "Multi-channel radar signal processing" and "Distributed sensor signal processing for early warning systems"
