Research Associate - Work Package 6 (E_WP6)

Cristian Rusu is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh working on signal processing and sensor management problems together with Prof. John S. Thompson. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Previous to his position at the University of Edinburgh he held postdoctoral positions at the IMT Institute of Advanced Studies, Lucca, Italy and the University of Vigo, Spain. He also held visiting research positions at the Technical University of Tampere, Finland and the University of Texas at Austin, USA. His research interests include signal processing with applications to communications, sparse representations, dictionary learning, machine learning and numerical linear algebra. In the context of wireless communications, his interests focus on MIMO systems and mmWave communication.
