PhD Student - Work Package 1 (E_WP1)

Euan Ward is a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh sponsored by Leonardo Company. After being awarded his First Class Masters in Physics (MPhys) by the University of St Andrews in 2016 he joined Leonardo to work for a year in industry before starting his PhD in September 2017. Euan has a keen interest in radar technologies that was sparked through two radar research projects in the summers of 2014 and 2015. His final year Master’s project continued along the radar research theme by investigating the capability of millimetre wave radars to detect small quadcopter UAVs. Euan’s PhD research, supervised by Professor Bernard Mulgrew, focuses on developing signal processing solutions to combat interference effects in modern multichannel radars
