Zeliang Wang

PhD Student – Work Package 3 (L_WP3)

Zeliang Wang is a PhD student at Cardiff University. Prior to this he received his BEng degree in Communications Engineering at the Northwest University for Nationalities, China in 2011. Afterwards, He came to the UK to study his Master program at the University of York and received an MSc degree in Communications Engineering with distinction in 2012. His research  was mainly in the area of multichannel signal processing, such as MIMO-OFDM communications technologies. After graduating from the University of York, he worked as an Engineer for Densitron Technology PLC in London until August 2013. He then joined Cardiff University for his PhD study in October 2013.

He is working on work package 3 (WP3) within the LSSCN consortium, supervised by Prof John McWhirter and Dr Yulia Hicks. His research is mainly focused on developing novel polynomial matrix factorization algorithms which can be applied to the area of multichannel signal processing, such as MIMO wireless communications to achieve optimal bandwidth utilization, and underwater acoustic sensor arrays to implement better broadband beam forming.
