Research Associate - Work Package 3 (L_WP3)

Mark Barnard received a PhD from EPFL, Switzerland in 2005. Whilst completing his PhD he worked at The IDIAP Research Institute as a Research Assistant. His thesis was entitled “Multimedia Event Modeling and Recognition”. In 2006 he joined the Machine Vision Group at the University of Oulu where he was post-doctoral researcher for three years. He is currently a research fellow at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal processing at the University of Surrey. His current research interests include, audio-visual tracking, dictionary based image representation and audio head pose estimation.​
