PhD Student - Work Packages 3 and 5 (L_WP3 & L_WP5)
Jamie Corr is a PhD student based in the Centre for Excellence in Signal Processing (CESiP) at the University of Strathclyde, and is affiliated with the Loughborough, Surrey, Strathclyde, Cardiff & Newcastle Consortium. Between 2008 and 2013 Jamie completed his MEng in Computer and Electronic Systems at the University of Strathclyde. As part of his degree Jamie was involved in a wide variety of projects from a hearing aid simulator to driver display and data analysis for Strathclyde’s Formula Student racing car. During his undergraduate degree Jamie received a number of prizes including: The 2012 IEEE Communications Society Prize, The 2013 Radio Industries Club of Scotland Baird Memorial Prize, and The 2013 Professor D.G. Smith Prize.
Under the supervision of Dr Stephan Weiss, Jamie’s research into efficient approaches to polynomial eigenvalue decomposition supports work packages 3 and 5.
